CALL FOR PAPERS

The 2nd International Conference on Caribbean Studies: Film and Literature will take place on October 7, 8, 9, 2010, at Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. If you are interested in presenting at this conference, Spanish and English abstracts should be sent electronically in (Word)

French abstracts should be sent to: jean-pierre.lafouge@marquette.edu

Abstracts should not be more than a page and should include paper title, afiliation, address, telephone number and e-mail. Presentations are limited to 20 minutes and a panel/session will be composed of a maximum of 3 presenters. Proposals for panels/sessions should include title, a brief explanation of the session, title of each presentation, and information of each participant (by attachment). Papers maybe read in Spanish, English or French. Deadline for abstracts is May 10, 2010. Graduate students are encouraged to participate. Registration fee is due upon acceptance: $100.00 for faculty and professionals; $50.00 for students, and re" rees. Checks should be written to CARIBE and send to Armando González- Pérez, Dept. of Foreign Languages & Literatures, P.O.Box 1881, Lalumière Language Hall, Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 53201-1881. Late registration fees will be $105.00 and $55.00. Registra tion folders can be picked up in Lalumière Language Building from 2:00 to 4:30PM. A reception will take place at the Haggerty Museum (on campus) on Thursday, October 7, at 5:30PM.

Parking will be available on campus at Parking Structure 1 (16th Street and Wisconsin Avenue) and Parking Structure 2 (1240 W. Wells St.) for $5:00 a day and $6.00 if it includes overnight.
